We are The Ceylon Association of Ships' Agents, referred to by anyone connected to Shipping, simply as ‘CASA’. The Association was formerly known as the Ceylon Association of Steamer Agents and previously as the Ceylon Shipping Committee, established as far back as 1944, over 6 decades – and now in our 65th year of service to the Shipping Industry.

CASA is now the leading voice of the Shipping Industry in Sri Lanka .

We comprise 115 Licensed Ships' Agents , representing all International Shipping Lines of repute who use the Port of Colombo - as a Transhipment Hub - due to it's very strategic location along the main International Shipping Lanes. Results of CASA 's activities and decisions arrived at with various authorities are conveyed to Members by Circulars sent by electronic mail. These are now available for reference by Members by logging in to the Members Area and through the link ‘Circulars'. These Circulars for the current year to-date & previous year are available from this site in Circular No order and under approx 35 pre-determined subject titles; these are accessible from a drop down menu. As a further feature, Members may also access these circulars through a key word search.
