08 Nov Chairman SLPA visits CASA office
The Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Capt. Nihal Keppetipola participated in a meeting with the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agencies (CASA) at its headquarters in Colombo – 07 last week.
This is the first-ever instance an SLPA/CASA meeting was held in the CASA building. Traditionally, since the 1940s these meetings have been held at the Port Chairman’s boardroom.
CASA Chairperson Shehara De Silva, along with Ex. Co members Shano Sabar, Janesh Rathnadasa, Iqram Cuttilan and Secretary-General Ralph Anandappa were present. The discussions were based on current and future port development projects, other matters about port operations, navigation, logistics, finance and IT.
CASA Chairperson and senior office bearers held a cordial and fruitful discussion.
